Special allowances announcement under Minimum Wages Act, 1948 On the basis of cost of living index the Government of Gujarat has decided to revise the special allowance for scheduled employment Under Minimum Wages Act 1948, for the period 01.10.2012 to 31.03.2013 as under Scheduled Employment / Profession Special Allowances.

Daily Rate (Rs.)
1 Private Security services Rs.79.40
2 Embroidery work Rs.20.00
3 For all workers Except column 1 and intense stick(Agarbati) manufacturing. Rs.59.40

Thus, in every employment & professions there is an increase of Rs.07.60 in
daily special allowance.
